Location: Optimist Park Community Center
Format: Coed 2v2
Times: 6PM-9PM
Registration Cost: $100 Per Player Late Fee: $150 Per Player
Registration information:
- A team is formed when 2 players have registered for a team. The max number of players per team is no more than 3 players, with the third players being a sub player. We are a gender neutral league.
- Goombay Raleigh-Durham is a social sports league that represents a friendly, diverse community of pickleball players of all ages and skill levels.
- Don't have a team and still want to play? Register as a free agent and we will place you with a team.
Overview:
- Playing level of 2.00 to 5.00 for intermediate and advanced (if unsure that is okay for Intermediate)
- 3 different brackets to play in (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced)
- Forfeits will be treated like a loss. This will affect your ranking and points
- Scoring: All matches will be played to 11, win by 2, best 2 of 3 sets. Each set is won by the first 11 points scored and won by 2. If score is tied at 10, the winner will be the first to be ahead by 2 points with no cap. Example: 11-7, 11-4 OR 5-11, 11-3, 17-15
- After the match, the winner will submit all scores to all games of the night. Please make sure to remember all scores because points could come down to determining your seed for playoffs.

- Before participating in any sport with Goombay Raleigh-Durham a player must sign and agree to the liability waiver and be at least 18+, in good health and have his/her own insurance.
Conduct Policy:
- Goombay Raleigh-Durham has a strict zero tolerance policy for harassment and or bullying. Harassment can be verbal, physical or visual, and includes all unwelcome conduct that is based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information. If any captain, coach, player, referee, seen braking this rule will be asked to leave and will NOT receive a refund for however many games are remaining for the season. As well as possibly being banned from participating in any sporting event held by Goombay Raleigh-Durham and it affiliates.
Refund Policy(Please Read)
Goombay Raleigh-Durham has a strict non-refundable policy. Before registering yourself or your team you must consider the following which does not entitle you to a refund;
COVID, Work or personal life. League schedule or game times that will conflict with your personal schedule, multiple weather cancellations, breaking up or divorce issues, not having a good time, being kicked out or dismissed from the league. Moving, or injuries that cause you to no longer be able to play for the reminder of the season. Credits or transfers can be requested, but are not guaranteed and will be reviewed by league officials.
